Planning your newborn session
It's best to book your newborn session 2-3 months before your due date. Once baby is here, we will pick your actual session date. Newborn sessions need to be done between 7-14 of birth. Sessions are done week day mornings. I have VERY limited availability on the weekends, however, it might still be possible.
In the Studio
You will find my studio to be a warm and calm environment for your new little addition.
The session typically takes about 2-3 hours and will allow for multiple feedings and changing and most importantly, sleep for baby. It includes multiple setups as well as sibling and parent photos.
While the session is in progress, you are more than welcome to relax or even catch a nap. Your baby will be in good hands. I have been trained in newborn safety and I stay up to date on my newborn safety education and your baby's safety is my upmost priority.
The studio will be very warm. 72-75 degrees. You will want to dress yourself in layers. This Is important because newborns are unable to regulate their body temperature yet and if the air around them is too cool, they will be unsettled and I will be unable to achieve our goal poses.
Family and sibling photos are done at the beginning of the session. After sibling shots are over, I do kindly ask, the siblings leave the studio space, in order to keep the studio calm and quiet. I have a TV in another room you are welcome to take them to watch if you have someone to stay with them. Children will not be allowed to be left unattended.
What's Included in your Newborn session?
Your newborn session will included 20 retouched images for digital download. You may also order prints for additional fees. Your online preview gallery will include 30-90 partially edited photos. You choose your favorites for me to complete the editing process (blemish removal, skin flakes, redness, jaunduice deminishing, etc) If you cant choose just 20 photos, you can purchase additional photos for $15 each. If you wish to purchase the entire gallery, you may absolutely do that! Each person's gallery is different and varies in the number of usable images. So because of this, each full gallery purchase price will vary.
After the session
Your preview gallery will be available for viewing in approx. 2 weeks following your session. You will receive an email with a link to your gallery. There will find your partially edited photos. Choose your favorites (20 photos are included) or add on additional photos or choose to purchase the entire gallery. Once you've made your selections, you will send me your choices and I will get to work finishing the editing process. Your final gallery will be ready for download in approx 2 weeks.
